CBD, or Cannabidiol is one of more than 100 different chemical compounds present in the cannabis plant.

This compound reacts with the body’s natural communication system called the endocannabinoid system and can play an important role in wellness functions such as mood, pain, and sleep.
In the professional headache journal, a very important research was completed and in conclusion they this is what they discovered:
There is accumulating evidence for various therapeutic benefits of cannabis/cannabinoids (CBD), especially in the treatment of pain, which may also apply to the treatment of migraine and headache. There is also supporting evidence that cannabis may assist in opioid detoxification and weaning, thus making it a potential weapon in battling the opioid epidemic.
Cannabis science is a rapidly evolving medical sector and industry with increasingly regulated production standards. Further research is anticipated to optimize breeding of strain‐specific synergistic ratios of cannabinoids, terpenes, and other phytochemicals for predictable user effects, characteristics, and improved symptom and disease‐targeted therapies *2

Don't Be Afraid!
Before starting this article, were you afraid to ask someone what CBD is? Maybe you assumed Cannabis and CBD were the same?
You are not alone! I had no idea CBD did not contain THC! The "30 years ago me" would have never dreamed I'd be running a CBD business.
Why? Because as a society we were only fed information that would lead us to believe it was bad for us or that only "druggies" used it.
Since the 1940's the government had made it illegal to use CBD (all classified under marijana which is also not accurate - CBD comes from Hemp and Hemp contains less than .03 to 0% THC). The Native Americans on the other hand were well aware of it's incredible health benefits when used properly.
The best illustration I have is this:
Many fruits are under the Citrus classification. Oranges, Clementines, Lime, Grapefruit. Each of these are different with different benefits.
Now, with regard to Cannabis - Imagine 2 plants that look almost identical. For all intensive purposes, they are. However, the cannabis plant has THC in it which is the component that causes us to get high.
The CBD Hemp plant must only have .3% or less THC in it. Further, there are over 100 varieties that can come out of the Hemp plant! The Cannabis plant is like the Hemp plants cousin.
The law states that the hemp plant has to have less .3% THC for it to be classified as a hemp plant.
Beware, now plant manufacturers are mixing the pure hemp plant that has no THC in it with the cannabis plant. That's when knowing your source becomes VERY important.

Fun Fact
Did you know as of the 2018 Farm bill, made CBD from hemp legal on a federal level?
It's a huge win because we can now help people by supplying them with the incredible benefits of CBD in all 50 states.
BUYER BEWARE -- BE VERY CAREFUL WHO YOUR SOURCE IS!
Common Questions...
Can I fail a drug test if I supplement CBD:
An excellent question.
Step one - ☝️ refer to my disclaimer above. Know your source!
Step 2 - ask which test your employer runs.
There are two tests that companies can run
1. One test is testing specifically for THC. Our CBD oil will pass ✅(it contains 0%)
2. The old test that tests for cannabis which CBD is in so you will FAIL (oof). It won’t get you high, it's just the old test. Most people aren’t using that though. THC passed, CBC canavoids fail
Just know that CBD isolates contain 0% THC and that's all we sell currently. Our CBD has 0% THC. You cannot find traces of THC in it.
Where is Vital Elements CBD oil made (rest easy we are a MADE IN USA COMPANY)
Vital Elements CBD oil (a GreenLifeWay partner/supplier), is made on a family farm in Oregon.
This is what sets us apart from so many other ridiculous gas station, Wal-mart, Walgreens, and other crummy brands. We OWN the ENTIRE Process. From Seed to Bottle.
Plus, we have COAs (Certificate of Analysis) to help the consumer verify each product. Each product will have a QR code taking you to the exact batch from which the bottle came from to validate all levels. This is a big deal to us because it's a big deal to you, your employers, and the state and federal government.
How quickly does CBD work?
I'm not a doctor and cannot give you dosage recommendations. Further, past results do not indicate future results. That said to illustrate what it generally takes to see results, CBD users have shared that they started at 500mg 2x a day for a week, increasing to 1000mg 2x a day for week 2, then onto 1500mg 2x a day. Again, this is not a recommendation, only an example of what has been done. For proper dosage recommendations, please consult a physician.
As with any ailment, it depends on your condition, how depleted your endocannabinoid system is in your own body, and how your body reacts to any supplements generally.
For many that stayed committed to the process, it can begin helping anywhere from one minute to 3 months. I would say the average relief and where the user felt it improved the functions of their bodies systems was roughly 2 weeks time.
In conclusion, by all accounts since 1940, we have been so misled in believing the plant was bad for us. In reality, our incredible Native Americans already knew of the healing power of the plant. Our CBD THC free oil contains incredible health benefits and has been proven to help reduce joint pain, back, headache, shoulder, knee, hip, and more.
Our CBD supplies are directly from our Made in USA farm in Oregon. We own the entire process and do not use any chemicals or pesticides. Our bottles are verified 3rd party and slapped with a Certificate of Analysis which will verify each batch and bottle is what we say it is.
