3 Effective Ways to Relieve Achy Joints & Improve Your Health
3 ways to find joint pain relief and rebalance your body
Did you know that there are several things that you can do to help relieve achy joints and feel better? Most joints have two different bones connected to them. One bone injury may be all that is needed to lead to joint pain.
The Harsh Reality of Age and Joint Pain
When I was a child, I would often hear my parents, grandma and grandpa complain about joint pain. I always remember looking at “older people” like – what is your problem? I’m sure you can relate.
Suddenly, one day our aging bodies begin to remind us that we are not a child anymore. Perhaps we got hurt doing those slick rail rides with the skateboard we received as a birthday gift from mom and dad?
You thought you had healed but years later that injury continuesto rear its ugly head.
Each time a little worse than the last especially as we hit our 40’s, 50’s and beyond and life reminds us of its fragility.
It is safe to say that achy joints are experienced by everyone at some point in their life. The pain can last any amount of time depending on the actual injury and your age.
Inflammation central to most challenging diseases that no one talks about
Most people have experience with swelling, stiffness, muscle pain, or inflammation of an affected or injured area. Out of those mentioned, rarely do we actually discuss inflammation other than keep ice or heat on it depending on the issue.
Real life example, if you ask someone how their knee is doing, they may say, “The swelling is better today but yesterday it had me flat out on the couch.”
Inflammation is proving to be a bigger warning sign than many believed. Inflammation is now being linked to just about every health condition to include but not limited to: stroke, heart disease, crohn’s disease, regular bodily pain and arthritis and more.
Specifically focusing on crohn’s disease as an example of inflammation, I went digging to find out what, if any, CBD studies have been done to show evidence that CBD may help those with this horrible, disease which overall cases continues to increase in America today.
Treating Joint Pain Symptoms is Not the Root Cause of Your Joint Pain
Modern medicine is notorious for throwing us pills that treat the SYMPTOMS but generally will not address the root cause of a health issue, which in many cases is inflammation.
Here’s what I discovered from a study done by US National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health in 2011:
However, in this study we demonstrate that during intestinal inflammation, CBD is able to control the inflammatory scenario and the subsequent intestinal apoptosis through the restoration of the altered glia-immune homeostasis. CBD is therefore regarded as a promising therapeutic agent that modulates the neuro-immune axis, which can be recognised as a new target in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disorders (NCBI, 2011).
Given that, we are not doctors and in no way are claiming CBD diagnoses, treats, or cures such a disease. This is merely to show the evidence that “CBD is able to control the inflammatory scenario…(NCBI 2011) and should therefore bring to light the possibilities it may help someone in this condition.
A Way Ahead to combat Inflammation for Joint Pain Relief
To help combat inflammation, studies are showing that CBD aids the endocannabinoid system in rebalancing our bodies CB1 & CB2 receptors indirectly. As such, people are reporting finding relief from body ailments after turning to CBD. The easiest explanation is that it re-balances the body, naturally. Reigniting our cannabinoid system which our body already produces.
Does CBD for Joint Pain work?
CBD helps to repair and rebalance our bodies natural endocannabinoid system (cannabinoids also found in the Hemp plant). These rebalance the body and our systems which we explain HERE in our article, “What is CBD?”
Finding Joint Pain Relief Starts With Your Individual Choices
For most people, change happens from the inside out, not just another application of Bengay™ cream.
You have to watch what you put into your body if you want your body to behave a specific way. Obvious by now yet most people ignore it.
Take notice, however, in the current Global Coronavirus pandemic, obesity may be a huge factor in the death rates. Specifically considering those Americans over 50 and are obese. Americans habits have created many underlying health conditions which the virus seems to exacerbate.
A Way Forward for Your Health and Joint Pain
THE best way to do that is to Eat healthy! GreenLifeWay wouldn’t be ethical if we didn’t include this very important message to you.
Our mission is to help people…not just buy a CBD product. Yet more people have shared they have found relief from joint pain, stress, anxiety, sleeplessness…including pets. More in-depth studies are being done as we speak.
3 Natural Ways to Combat Joint Pain You Can Control
Therefore, we’ve put together a list of 3 things you can readily do to help combat joint pain and experience some relief:
1. Eat Healthy
I know – it’s been hammered down our throats. Yet, most of America is overweight and buying bags of artificial candies in cart loads and swinging into a fast food joint because we’re too lazy to cook for ourselves anymore.
Seriously, we wonder why we aren’t healthy? (sorry, rant over…)
Try this instead: Load up on foods rich in:
Vitamin C.
Color is very important for your diet. Vitamin C foods may be juicy oranges, sweet red peppers and tomatoes, cantaloupe, kiwi, and others. These High Vit C foods help to reduce (or stop) cartilage loss. Such loss is what ultimately causes the pain. A well know disease is Arthritis specifically.
Also a quick note on a report from Dr. Andrew Saul and Sayer Ji coming out of China is that high doses of Vitamin C are helping people recover from the Coronavirus.
You should avoid foods high in omega-6 fatty acids, such as corn oil. These may increase inflammation.
They often may be the cause of the pain. Also look at whether you’re eating refined grains and start buying whole grains instead.
Early research suggests refined grains have an inflammatory effect, whereas high-fiber whole grains may help reduce inflammation.
Vitamin K.
Not going to lie. This is the hardest for me. You don’t have to turn into a rabbit, however. Just make meals that feature greens, such as spinach, kale, and cabbage. They have incredible pain-soothing properties.
Omega-3 fatty acids. Having lived in Alaska, I love a well cooked mouth watering Salmon. With this mind, just think fish and nuts (almost any kind has wonderful Omega 3’s) which help curb joint inflammation.

2. Best Way to Relieve Joint Pain: Take Natural Supplements
First warning – if you are taking medication of any kind, you should definitely consult with your Doctor to ensure that your supplement (whatever and wherever it came from) will not cause a serious reaction. Sometimes these supplements are made with fish products (shellfish) so please be careful if you are one of those individuals!
That said, I love supplements. I love natural healing too. A large-scale study funded by the National Institutes of Health found that a daily combo of 1,500 milligrams of glucosamine and 1,200 milligrams of chondroitin might help ease symptoms in people with moderate-to-severe joint pain.
Also make sure you’re getting plenty of vitamin D to help keep your bones strong and prevent joint pain. Look for a supplement with 1,000 milligrams of D3 (the kind your body manufactures from sunlight), but check with your doctor first because some supplements can interact with prescription and over-the-counter drugs.

3. Exercise and Drink Plenty of Water
There are plenty of exercise blogs so I’m not going to beat a dead horse. But, if it’s cold outside, cold weather has been linked to joint pain.
People are less likely to work out when it’s chilly and damp. That alternative for many is becoming a couch potato. This is bad news for your joints.
Exercise helps lubricate your joints and actually helps to prevent pain.
Water: This is huge! ...and this is why according to USGS.gov:
Up to 60% of the human adult body is water.
According to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are watery: 31%.
Each day humans must consume a certain amount of water to survive. Of course, this varies according to age and gender, and also by where someone lives.
Generally, an adult male needs about 3 liters (3.2 quarts) per day while an adult female needs about 2.2 liters (2.3 quarts) per day.
All of the water a person needs does not have to come from drinking liquids, as some of this water is contained in the food we eat.
Take a look at this infographic to refresh your memory of how important water is to your body:
Final Thoughts for Natural Ways on How CBD Oil May Help Relieve Your Joint Pain
In conclusion, eating the right things and really being watchful of what you put into your body is a root cause of what your future will look like. If you eat junk. Your body will be junk. If you eat healthy, your body will reward you.
Next, taking supplements (like CBD Oil) approved by your doctor (especially seek Doctor approval if you’re taking medications) can aid extra support in several ways.
Here at GreenLifeWay.org we would recommend you try CBD which we discuss in our article, “What is CBD?.”
Knowing where your CBD came from is critical also.
Would you trust a gas station to deliver high quality foods? [Answer: NO!].
Why would you not research the company you choose to buy your CBD from?
Ours is 3rd party tested, we own the farm in Oregon and own the entire process from seed to bottle.
That’s what you should look for in a quality product.
